Jean DESPRÉS (1889–1980) A large modernist baluster vase with a flared neck; the base is accentuated by two thick, raised bands. A tin-plated brass piece, entirely hammer-formed, with a smooth finish. 1930s–1950s. Bears the Master Goldsmith and Tin-smith’s hallmark on the rim of the neck. Oxidation and lifting on a small section of the body, a dent on another section, and scratches on the body of the vase. H. 28.7 cm. Expert: Emmanuel EYRAUD
