LATE ROMAN EMPIRE An iridescent blue drawn-glass amulet, wheel-thrown in the shape of a vase with a handle. 5th century or early 6th century. H_2cm A fine, complete specimen, untreated, with even wear. The Louvre Museum holds an identical specimen under inventory number E 23606, which is featured in the book *Les verres antiques du Musée du Louvre*, Vol. 3, p. 63 (illustrated on p. 71).
