H_100 cm W_81 cm. Provenance: collection of the painter and sculptor Paul François BERTHOUD (1870–1939). Passed down through the artist’s family. Metayer Mermoz auction, Paris, 15 October 2020; acquired at this auction by our seller. Another portrait of Berthoud by Guirand de Scévola is held at the Brest Museum.
