Label by POTTET, a Parisian framemaker, on the reverse. Height: 30 cm – Width: 40.5 cm Note: This work depicts a mythological scene from Ovid’s *Metamorphoses*: the god Pan pursues the nymph Syrinx, who, with the help of her river sisters, transforms herself into reeds to escape his advances and thus preserve her virginity.
