Hard-paste porcelain soup plate from the Emperor’s service at the Palais de Bordeaux, decorated with a gold rosette in the centre, the centre of the plate in violet, and the rim with a polychrome frieze of flowers and foliage (chipped).
Marked: M. Imple de Sèvres and a red triangle (the words ‘M. Imple’ have been deliberately erased), M.B. in red, for Mrs Bunel, and A… in gold.
Early 19th century, Consulate period, Year 13 (1804–1805).
