Description
Jules Edmond MASSON (1871–1932) Stag Bronze with a light brown patina. Signed ‘J.E. MASSON’. Height: 24 cm; Length: 16 cm Jules Edmond Masson trained as a sculptor under his father, Clovis Masson. From 1890 onwards, he exhibited at the Salon, mainly presenting works depicting animals or inspired by history. In 1901, he presented a wax study of a stag; this may have served as the model for this bronze. Expert: Cabinet LACROIX - JEANNEST
