A German silver flatware and cutlery service contained in a cutlery / knife box makers mark indistinct, Augsburg 1739-1741 Shell pattern shape with engraved geometric and foliate scrolling engraving, comprising: six two-pronged forks with steel tines, six table spoons, six table knives with steel blades, all fitting into an upright hexagonal shagreen box, hinged cover, with brass carrying handle and lock catch, fitted interior, height 27.5cm, weight of weighable silver 482.5gms.
