Bearing the inscriptions: ‘For guidance and assistance shown for and during the rebuilding of their church, which burned down on May 10, 1852. Churchwardens of Simonshaven to their Mayor J.D. Preuijt’ and ‘The grateful inhabitants of Simonshaven to their Mayor J.D. Preuijt for his countless efforts during and after the local fire of May 9 and 10, 1852.’ Total weight 1,255 grams. 20 x 17 cm. -
