Description
CHINA, Jingtai mark, 20th century A cloisonné enamelled incense burner, standing on a circular foot, with a domed body topped by a short, flared neck and flanked by two handles in the shape of chimeras with scaly bodies. The whole is decorated in polychrome enamels on a turquoise background with lotus scrolls and a frieze of stylised petals on the lower part of the body. An apocryphal four-character Jingtai mark stamped under the base. H. 10 cm - L. 23 cm. Diameter: 16 cm. (Slight oxidation and enamel chips).
