INDIA, Pala period, 12th century Sculpted stone stele depicting a divinity standing beneath a circular halo, dressed in a dhoti and adorned with rich jewellery. The figure is surrounded by secondary figures in lateral registers, including worshippers and attendants. The hands, now eroded, probably held attributes. Presented on a modern plinth. H. 39 - W 23 - D 10 cm.
