IRAN - Qajar, 19th century
A pear-shaped vase with a swollen body and a high truncated conical neck highlighted by a median annular bead, in siliceous paste ceramic, moulded and enamelled in polychrome on a deep cobalt blue ground under a transparent glaze, decorated with poetic scenes depicting characters in traditional dress amongst flowers and foliage.
Mounted as a lamp.
H. 22 cm high.
H. 41 cm (with shade).
