MOROCCO, Fez, 20th century A large earthenware calligrapher's inkwell with lid, known as a "mejmaa", in the form of a mausoleum with an openwork mihrab, with polychrome enamel decoration in shades of yellow, blue, red and green of stylised plant motifs. Signed "Fez" in Arabic letters. H. 25.5 - W. 15.5 - D. 10 cm. (The lid has probably been removed).
