Second-class (or Grand Officer) set comprising: - a 2nd class (Grand Officer) insignia in silver of at least 800‰, in the form of a seven-pointed star flanked by a crescent and a star.Its centre, in rose gold of at least 916‰, is adorned with the tughra, surrounded by four red-enamelled cartouches. Ottoman Mint hallmark on the reverse. The loop, made of a red-enamelled alloy, consists of a crescent holding a five-pointed star. Gross weight: 35.8 g. Diameter: 73 x 58 mm. Attached is its red ribbon edged with green (damaged; the rosette is missing). - a 2nd class breast plate (Grand Officer) in silver of at least 800‰, in the shape of a double seven-pointed star, the upper one with its points formed by a crescent and a star. Its centre, in rose gold of at least 916‰, is adorned with the tughra, surrounded by four red-enamelled cartouches. Ottoman Mint hallmark on the reverse. Fastened with a swing pin and two side hooks. Gross weight: 93.8 g. Diameter: 83 mm. - Medal of Merit (Liakat Madalyasi) in yellow gold, minimum 916‰. Obverse: the Ottoman coat of arms surmounted by the tughra. Reverse: Arabic inscriptions: ‘Medal of Merit specially for those who have demonstrated loyalty and bravery’, followed by the date ‘1308 AH’ (1890 AD). In its original case for a Knight of the 2nd Class (Grand Officer) of the Order, made of wood lined with dark mauve velvet, with a silk interior.
