Marianne Kürzinger (or Kirzinger), born around 1767, was a German painter who specialised in history and genre painting before devoting herself, at the end of her life, to allegorical representations of contemporary Bavarian events.
She was the daughter of the painter Franz Kürzinger, who trained her before she became a pupil of Johann Jakob Dorner the Elder. From 1786 onwards, her works met with a degree of success: copies of works by Mieris or Murillo, as well as an admired personal creation, particularly for her so-called sentimental works, which earned her the nickname "Bavarian Angelica Kauffmann". Marianne Kürzinger lived from her painting in Munich until her death in 1809.
