Henry Étienne DUMAIGE (1830-1888) after Jean Léon GEROME (1824 - 1904) Cleopatra before Caesar Bronze with medal patina Signed on the base Red marble veneer base. Height 83 cm. Length 44 cm. Depth: 28 cm Damage to the base, traces of oxidation on the carpet and on the feet of the bronze subject. The sculptor was freely inspired here by the work painted by Gérôme. The original Egyptoman painting "Cleopatra before Caesar" is now in the Raclin Murphy Museum of Art.
