Description
A pair of seven-light semi-circular torchères consisting of two Chinese oxblood enamelled porcelain baluster vases in gilt bronze mounts. The acanthus leaf lights are joined by a short central shaft supported by a gadrooned cover that follows the lip of the vase. The whole is supported by a square section base enclosing the base of the vases in a laurel wreath. 19th century, Napoleon III period. Height 98 cm. Width: 47 cm. Depth: 32 cm. The upper part of one gilded.
