Description
A pair of three-light candelabra in finely chased and gilded bronze. The arms of light are joined together in an antique fluted vase whose side handles are held by an Atlantean putto with white marble bases. Laurel garlands run around the scrolls of the arms of light. The ensemble is topped by a fire pot concealing a fourth spigot. The mantel rests on a pedestal with a central projection in white marble adorned with garlands of flowers and a gilded bronze and gadrooned doucine. Eclectic style from the Napoleon III period. Height 49.3 cm. Width 20.2 cm. Depth 12.2 cm. Minor chips to the marble pedestal. One arm slightly twisted. Wear to the gilding, notably on the putti busts. 3 garland mounting screws missing.
