Description
Large wood and gilded stucco mirror with fine glazing beads, carved with rocaille clasps in high relief of flowering bindweed. The top of the mirror is crowned with clasping brackets enclosing a flowering shrub.
Restoration to the reverse of the mirror, the mirror is missing from the small glazing bead at the top right. Two cracks in the mirror of the thin left side glazing bead.
Chips to the gilding and minor damage to the branches.
18th century work from the Louis XV Rocaille period.
