PAINTING "PIERRE SOULAGE TRIBUTE T06" by Marc LOISEAU (born 1960) Acrylic on canvas, signed and dated "2025" in the bottom right-hand corner. Titled, signed and dated “2025” on the reverse. Dimensions: approx. 90 x 90 cm. Good condition A French visual artist notably inspired by Pierre Soulages, Marc Loiseau has exhibited his work on numerous occasions. In Japan (Japan Print Society at the Metropolitan Museum in Tokyo) and in France: at the Salon des Réalités Nouvelles (Salon de l’Abstraction since 1946) from 2009 to 2013; at the Versailles Print Biennale, the Arstampa in Draguignan, the Euro Estampes in Lorient… Marc Loiseau has been shortlisted three times for the Prix des Mouettes in Charente-Maritime. Self-taught in painting, he learnt printmaking at the Atelier Tugdual in Cancale. These works are created using mixed media, including pigments, acrylics and carborundum engraving.
