Ottoman Empire 18th century, Mother-of-pearl and tortoiseshell marquetry wedding chest, the slightly domed lid, decorated on all sides with a checkerboard pattern of large floral motifs in cartouches, ormolu side handles, fine original key lock, H: 68 cm, L: 124 cm, W: 63 cm, very good condition (4 small mother-of-pearl or horn triangles missing, minor restorations) For export out of the EU, an export CITES permit is required, to be paid for by the future buyer.
