Description
Small brooch centred on locks of hair under glass in a double surround of white half pearls and round faceted amethysts. One stone broken. 19th century. Back soldering. Deformations. Size: 23x 19 mm. Parts in vermeil and metal.
In the 18th and 19th centuries, reliquary jewellery was not only reserved for the church or between spouses or even lovers.
