Description
JAPAN, late 19th-early 20th century. A Kutani stoneware dish with polychrome decoration of figures near a waterfall and roosters, hens and chicks among flowers, in reserves on a coral background decorated with gold scrolls. The reverse is decorated with medallions of dragons and stylised geometric motifs in coral and gold enamel. On the base, a bouquet of orchids, Kutani mark and Kyokuzan signature.
