Description
An important "Le Temps" clock in patinated bronze, the dial held under the arm holding the scythe in the right hand and the hourglass falling to the ground. Resting on a cherry red marble pedestal and four ormolu claw feet. The circular dial with bezel, white enamelled background, hours in Roman numerals, five minutes in Arabic numerals, two winding squares, snake-shaped hands. With a key. Fork balance movement, blade suspension, striking on gong. Total height 48cm. The original balance wheel is missing. Operation not guaranteed, servicing required by a professional. Small chips to the marble. The scythe fixed to the marble.
