Mathieu BEFORT (1816-c.1880), in the taste of. Buffet in Boulle style marquetry and imitation tortoiseshell cupboard, opening in front with two leaves decorated with allegories of Spring and Summer in high relief on a console, on a background of scrolls of plants and birds, the rounded uprights with fluting, resting on an imposing plinth decorated with a mask. Napoleon III period. Total dimensions: 106x126x45cm. White marble top. Rich gilt brass ornamentation (key escutcheons, rods and escutcheon). Wear from use. Small chips to the marble. Cracks, reinforcement on the inside of one of the doors. A rod needs to be refixed, a hole in a rod.
