Description
JEAN-PIERRE GUIGO BATAILLARD (1933-2020). Pair of cartouches in shaded brown patinated metal enhanced with gilding with a curved body enclosing a flower in the central part (repaints, oxidation).
Antique label numbered P11 on one.
An acanthus leaf in wrought iron (damaged).
Height 44 cm - Length 46 cm - Depth 4 cm
History: these cartouches repeat the decoration of the pilasters on the railings designed by Jean Lamour for the Place Stanislas in Nancy, which were restored by the Ateliers Bataillard in 1954 and 1977.
Provenance: Jean Pierre Guigo Bataillard collection, which has remained in the family ever since.
