These two female figurines are part of a long tradition of fertility Venuses from the Mexican highlands, directly associated with fertility and the generative forces of the earth. What sets them apart is their singular form: webbed feet, evoking a being halfway between the human and aquatic worlds, and above all the presence of a third eye in the centre of the forehead of one of them - an extremely rare motif in this corpus - which gives it a strong shamanic dimension, linked to inner vision and communication with invisible forces.
