Dance crest featuring an equine head with buffalo horn. Brown patina wood resting on a basket of woven basketry added later. Certain figures combined several animal attributes to evoke the forces of the bush and protective powers. This crest's long tubular snout, erect horns and highly refined construction give it a particularly graphic silhouette and a strong sculptural presence.
