Provenance : WorldArt Gallery, Cape Town Acquired from the latter by the current owner FR Tafadzwa Masudi, born in Zimbabwe in 1988, lives and works in Cape Town. Introduced to painting at an early age, he developed a self-taught practice based on observation and experience. Moving to South Africa in 2010, he first worked in the textile industry before devoting himself fully to painting from 2020 onwards. His compositions, painted in a vivid, contrasting palette, feature proud, determined figures in decorative environments populated with floral motifs, balloons and ornaments inspired by the domestic skills handed down by the women in his family.
