During the events of May 1968, the publisher Tchou decided to collect a selection of the most striking posters in order to preserve a record of this popular, student and artistic expression.
He worked with the printers most involved in the movement: Cogery, Cabasson and du Griffon, to ensure that his edition was as close as possible (paper, printing technique) to the posters that were circulating in the streets.
Some of the authors of these posters were artists who would go on to become famous: Alechinsky, Calder, Effel, Matta, etc.
