INFORMATION: Created in 1514, Dürer’s *Melencolia* is one of Albrecht Dürer’s most famous engravings. Its richly symbolic world – featuring angels, polyhedra, Masonic and alchemical references, an hourglass and even a magic square – has sparked passionate study and inspired numerous artists, most notably Salvador Dalí, who frequently alludes to it.
Engraved by J. Boiteux based on the copy held at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France and printed using traditional methods, hand-printed on a hand press in a copperplate engraving workshop.
