Description
A straight-sided chest of drawers with a richly decorated front in walnut, ash burl and thuja veneers, featuring three drawers running the full length. The top is inlaid with an elaborate design comprising panels, cross-hatching and composite fillets. The front features three central medallions and six projecting, multi-lobed side panels, edged with flat bands and moulded frames varnished black, set within banded borders. The sides are decorated in a similar manner. The upright sides, the front ones being rounded, rest on small spindle-shaped feet. Polished and varnished bronze fittings: drop handles and lock plates.
