Description
A rectangular ‘aux époux’ table in boxwood veneer with composite mouldings set against a rosewood background, featuring a drawer running along the base. The top depicts an aristocratic man and woman in two medallions adorned with acanthus friezes, surmounted by a tiara and framed by a crowned coat of arms. The band is decorated with scenes of hunting, falconers, animals and houses set against wooded landscapes. The tubular side panels are embellished with caryatids and religious symbols. They are joined by an X-shaped crossbar adorned with serpents and a faun’s mask at its centre.
