Honoré-Jean-Aristide Husson (1803–1864) Bronze bust of a young boy with a brown patina, resting on a square plinth, signed and dated A. HUSSON 1836 First half of the 19th century. H_35 cm Expert: Stéphane Pepe A pupil of David d’Angers, Honoré Jean Aristide Husson was awarded the Second Prize de Rome in 1827 and the First Prize de Rome in 1830. On his return to Paris, he exhibited at the Salons from 1837 onwards, winning a second-class medal in 1837 and a first-class medal in 1848. Husson received numerous commissions from the French State. Major works - Marguerite of Provence and Eustache Le Sueur in the Luxembourg Gardens. - Le Sueur and Sarrazin on the façade of the Louvre Palace. - *The Harvest* and *The Grape Harvest* on the north fountain in the Place de la Concorde. - Expert: PEPE Stephane
