A significant cartel clock with a violin-shaped console in green horn. It is adorned with rich chiselled and gilded bronze mountings in the Rocaille style, featuring a bursting pomegranate. The bronze dial is signed ‘BON A PARIS’. It features twenty-four white-enamelled cartouches indicating the hours in Roman numerals and the minutes in Arabic numerals. Paris. Louis XV period. H_ 137 cm W_ 53 cm D_ 26 cm (The pendulum and key are missing. One enamelled cartouche is missing and there is a chip. The gilding has been retouched).
