PARIS, 1752 Silver table fork, plain-bladed design. The back of the tines is engraved with the BERTHAULT family coat of arms beneath a Marquis’s crown. Hallmarks for PARIS, 1750–1756. Guild mark: a crowned ‘M’ for 1752. Master silversmith’s mark: ‘EG’ for Eloi GUERIN, admitted in 1727. L: 20 cm. Silver weight: 94.5 grams.
