Set of 12 fruit knives with vermeil blades (gold on silver) and mother-of-pearl handles.
The knives have rounded tips, handles fluted at the sides (faceted), and ferrules in the style of a Corinthian capital.
Hallmark (known as the ‘vieillard’) and gross guarantee mark (‘head of Ceres’) for PARIS 1819–1838.
Silversmith’s mark: (“CARDEILHAC” with a crescent and the Legion of Honour).
L: approx. 19.9–19.7 cm.
PB: 514.7 grams.
Condition: shows signs of wear (crack in one handle, material missing at the end of one handle).
