Description
PARIS 1756–1762 Silver olive spoon, ‘filet-coquille’ design. The back of the spoon is decorated with a mavelot beneath a count’s crown. The bowl is entirely re-engraved with stylised foliage. Master’s and apprentice’s hallmarks for PARIS 1756–1762. Guild hallmark featuring a ‘crowned M’. Master silversmith’s mark: Jacques ANTHIAUME, admitted in 1758 Re-hallmarked with the crab mark. L: 21.3 cm. Weight: 93.2 grams.
