PROVINCE, 1809–1819 A pair of silver braziers with metal grates. Each brazier has a serrated rim Decorated with incised foliage garlands. Resting on three feet terminating in dolphin heads. Second-class cock hallmark and standard hallmark for the French departments, 1809–1819. Master silversmith’s mark: “VE” (to be identified). Belgian import hallmark for large pieces (E with a leaf-wreathed crown). H: 11.5 cm. Neck diameter: 16.5 cm. Silver weight: 733.3 grams. Total weight: 875 grams
