Description
Lucien Louis BOUCLIER Seal made of hard stone and silver (lightly vermeilled). Cylindrical base. Handle in cast silver depicting the allegory of Hope. The allegory is represented by a woman wearing a wreath of flowers and holding an anchor. Chiselled and openwork setting forming interlaced patterns. Blank circular die. Wild boar’s head hallmark (mount and die) Master goldsmith’s hallmark: “LB”, probably for Lucien Louis BOUCLIER, active in Paris between 1886 and 1889. H: 6.9 cm. Base diameter: 1.9 cm. Weight: 36 grams In its custom-made case (shows signs of wear). Case dimensions: H: 3.5 cm. L: 4.5 cm. D: 9.5 cm.
