PUIFORCAT Louis XVI-style silver ice service comprising a serving spoon and 12 spoons, making a total of 14 pieces. Decorated with leafy garlands and bands terminating in acanthus leaves (echoed on the clasp). The backs of the scoops bear the interlaced ‘GU’ monogram. Scoops in vermeil Minerva hallmarks, 1st standard. Master silversmith’s hallmarks: (“EP” and a penknife) for Émile PUIFORCAT, admitted in 1857. Length of serving scoop: 28.4 cm Length of serving spoon: 22.6 cm Length of ice cream spoons: 14.3 cm Total weight of the set: 569 grams. In its black-leather-lined case from LEVERRIER Orfèvre, 30 Boulevard Malesherbes. Top bearing the initials “G.U” (as is). Case dimensions: 5.3 x 34.2 x 22 cm.
