Description
PARIS 1775. Silver table spoon, shell-and-net design. The back of the spoon is decorated with a coat of arms depicting alliances beneath a helmet (striped, partially worn away). Master’s and guild hallmarks for PARIS 1775–1781. Guild hallmark featuring a crowned ‘M’ for PARIS 1775. Master silversmith’s hallmarks: “NG” for Nicolas GONTHIER, admitted to the guild in 1768. L: 21 cm. Weight: 101.2 grams.
