Body engraved with a large alliance coat of arms framed by rearing lions and surmounted by a count’s crown. Hallmarks for PARIS 1762. Hallmarks of the master silversmith: Jean-Baptiste-François CHERET (JBC and a key), admitted to the guild in 1759. Accompanied by a pair of silver stoppers with a ‘monkey’s head’ design Length: 27.1 cm Weight: 724.2 grams The lady’s coat of arms is that of the FROGER (also known as FROGIER) family of L’EGUILLE; a noble family from the Saintonge region.
