CARDEILHAC Renaissance-style wine taster in vermeil (gold on silver), with a plain body. Openwork handle in a trilobed shape featuring a mascaron and foliage. First-grade Minerva hallmark on the body and a wild boar’s head hallmark on the handle. Signature in full: CARDEILHAC. Master goldsmith’s hallmark: (“EC”, a Legion of Honour and a crescent) for Armand-Edouard CARDEILHAC (active from 1851 to 1885) or Ernest CARDEILHAC (active from 1885 to 1904).
