Description
BONNESOEUR (?) Carving set/leg of lamb set with silver-plated handles, metal blades/forks. Handles decorated with flowers (lilies?) and Art Nouveau foliage. Handles in a violin-shaped design. Knife blade signed: “PARIS”. Minerva hallmark, 2nd standard. Master silversmith’s mark on the fork (partly worn away): “BONN”, presumed to be for Edmond BONNESOEUR, engraved on 7 January 1887 and struck out on 27 April 1906 or 1908. L.: 32.5 and 27 cm. Weight: 221 grams.
