CHRISTOFLE Matching set of Louis XVI-style fruit and dessert knives in metal (12 silver-plated knives and 12 gold-plated knives, making a total of 24 pieces). Handles decorated with rows of pearls, scrolls and foliage. Pommel engraved with stylised intertwined initials (“AD”). Blades probably made of steel. Traces of the silversmith’s hallmarks: (“CC” and a set of scales within a diamond inscribed in a circle). L: approx. 20.7 cm. Shows signs of wear (wear to the gilding). In its leather-covered case with a lid engraved with the initials “A.D” (shows signs of wear, with some peeling and scuffing). Case dimensions: H: 7 cm. L: 24.2 cm. D: 14.5 cm.
