ATLAS. MERCATOR (Gérard): Atlas, or a Representation of the Whole World and its Parts, set out in tables and very detailed descriptions. Final edition. Amsterdam, Henricus Hondius, 1633; Two folio volumes, in 19th-century brown half-shagreen. An atlas for which Mercator collaborated with Hondius; although incomplete, it includes the double-page plate featuring portraits of the two authors, the double-page plate of the planisphere, and 128 double-page engraved maps. All the plates are hand-coloured.
