Two parts in 4 volumes in plano, contemporary binding in green half-maroquin, spine ribbed and highlighted with gilt fillets. I. – Part 1: 1st half-title page, frontispiece half-title engraved by Duparc after Charles Percier, title page decorated with two engravings of medals included in the pagination, XLVI, 72 pp., (1) folio of tables. I. – Part 2: half-title page, title page decorated with a vignette, XLVI, pp. 73–132. II. – Part 1: half-title page, title page decorated with an engraving of the coat of arms of Granada, XLV, 36 pp. II.- Part 2: half-title, title page adorned with two engravings of medals, XCI (actually LXXXI following a pagination error) and 38 pp. Illustrated with approximately 350 engravings of views of towns, villages, monuments, architectural details, maps of Spain and Portugal, 9 line engravings of paintings by the great Spanish masters—the collection being very complete across 272 plates—and two double-page maps of Spain and Portugal. A fine copy with generous margins and no foxing whatsoever, in a simple but good binding. (The portrait of the Prince of Peace, mentioned by Vicaire, which was missing, has been added; it has slightly narrower margins).
