A very fine copy of one of Charles Péguy’s major works. One of five author’s copies numbered on paper from the Imperial Manufactories of Japan, printed for Mr Julien Crémieu; it bears the number d. The copy is untrimmed. A unique copy, it bears Péguy’s autograph dedication to the book’s printer, Julien Crémieu: ‘For Crémieux, a Jew, Péguy, a Christian’.
