Jean Wynants (1632–1684) Cloudy Landscape, oil on panel, signed and dated 1668, 27 × 35 cm. Provenance: Eynard Collection, acquired by Jacques Eynard in Paris in February 1799 . In a letter to his father, Gabriel-Antoine Eynard, he describes the work as “a beautiful painting with a very striking effect, depicting a main road with figures painted by Lingelbach”.
