Formerly attributed to Carlo Maratta (1625–1713) Adoration of the Magi, oil on copper, 36 × 30 cm. Provenance: Eynard Collection, acquired by Jacques Eynard in Paris in March 1799. In a letter to his father, Gabriel-Antoine Eynard, he describes the work as “by Carlo Maratta, an Adoration of the Magi, a lovely painting”.
